About Us

SCTLA is a membership organization that supports defense attorneys practicing before the District of Columbia Superior Court and Court of Appeals. We aim to foster positive relationships with the Court, public, and Congress while ensuring a supportive environment and good working conditions for attorneys. The organization also works to improve access to quality legal services for those in need, supports charitable and civic initiatives related to the legal community, and advocates on legislative issues important to its members and clients. Ultimately, SCTLA strives to promote equal justice under the law by acting in the best interests of both its members and their clients.
