SCTLA DC

MENTORSHIP
Considering criminal defense work in DC, joining the CJA panel, or hanging your shingle?
SCTLA wants to help.
Whether you’re a new to the bar, new to DC, or new to criminal defense, the following SCTLA members have volunteered to serve as mentors.
From setting up your practice to learning the ropes of Superior Court criminal cases, we’re here to offer mentees continuing or one-off advice or feedback on all aspects of your practice, have mentees shadow or second chair us in court, and just generally help support mentees in their professional development as defense attorneys in D.C. Our goal is to help those interested in joining our community feel prepared and confident in their practice, so we can continue to offer the highest quality representation for our clients. Please reach out to any of the attorneys listed below to see how they can help you.

Note, this is not a formal mentoring program and you must be a SCTLA member to benefit from SCTLA's volunteer mentors. Contact information for each SCTLA mentor can be found on the "SCTLA Attorney" page under the "About" tab.
